How can it be May of 2017 already? Many thanks are needed for those who directed Thrivent Choice funds to Zion; to those who guided and aided in so many ways with our “By Grace… Access for All!” campaign and also those who pledged and are giving to the campaign; to those who faithfully taught and organized our Sunday School and Weekday and helped with our Confirmation Recognition; for those who helped with Spring cleanup, altar guild, and all the myriad of other activities that have made the first quarter of 2017 go so fast.

(As the infomercials put it) But there’s more! Sunday, May 7, is High School Graduate recognition and May 14 our choir will sing as we also remember Mother’s Day. On Friday, June 2nd, will be a Progressive Dinner; the weekend of June 3rd & 4th Relay for Life Bake Sale; Sunday, June 11th, Voters Meeting (after church service); and Sunday, June 25th, installation of new congregational officers and the Church Picnic Noon at the Atlantic City Park. Vacation Bible School will start on Monday, July 10, led by a group from our Camp Okoboji.

Most especially thanks, praise, and all honor and glory go to our Lord and Savior Jesus! Without Him and His suffering, death, resurrection and ascension for us, Zion Lutheran would not exist and we would have no Hope in the hectic and confusing times in which we live and no true Hope for eternity. “Thousand, thousand thanks are due, Dearest Jesus, unto You!”

See you in Divine Service,
